WeCAHR: Caring since 1977
WeCAHR was created in 1977 by a group of parents who saw the need for an independent agency to help assure that their children were receiving the services and support they need. WeCAHR is proud to be an affiliated chapter of Arc of Connecticut and the Arc of the United States.
We serve all disabilities and all ages; we help people get the services and supports they need to attend school and live and work successfully and safely in their community. We do this through direct advocacy representation, advocacy counseling, training and support.
WeCAHR's Mission
WeCAHR is an advocacy organization. We advocate for the civil and human rights of people with disabilities. We work to create and promote personal success, independence and community involvement for children and adults with disabilities.
